A technology that has greatly affected traveling is the Global Positioning System also known as the GPS. There are many reason on why this technology has affected traveling so much. The GPS is a navigation system that is guided by a series of satellite systems developed by the United States Department of Defense. What this does is that the satellites transmit a precise microwave signals which enable GPS receivers to determine their current location, the time, and their velocity. GPS can be very helpful to people. One example is when you trying to get somewhere and your lost, you simply look at your GPS and it tells you where you are and where u should go.
